Areas of Specialism and Expertise
Robin is a partner in our Oil and Gas Division and is recognised by both the Legal 500 Directory and Chambers UK for his upstream oil and gas and project work. He deals with all aspects of energy law work in particular reference to acquisitions and disposal work in the oil and gas sector.
Robin also has extensive corporate law experience and has led and participated in many prominent mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving (among others) oilfield service companies.
Robin’s work involves North Sea and other UK-based transactions, as well as regularly advising clients on overseas transactions. Robin has recent experience in concluding transactions not only in the United Kingdom, but also in Dubai, Romania and the Netherlands.
Other Roles
Robin is a member of the UK Energy Lawyers Group (IBA) and of the Scottish Lawyers European Group. Robin is co-Chair of the Energy speciality group within TAGLaw - a worldwide network of quality law firms. He also chairs our Renewable Energy Group, a cross-disciplinary grouping of lawyers within the firm who are active within the renewable energy sectors and is a Director of the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce.
