Firm Hosts Junior Chamber Patrons Event (24 Aug 2009)

Junior Chamber International Aberdeen (JCIA) held a drinks reception at the offices of leading commercial law firm Paull & Williamsons at Union Plaza, Aberdeen on August 20.

JCIA welcomed over 30 patrons and local organisations who work with JCIA.

Invited guests included Aberdeen Lord Provost Peter Stephen, Aberdeen City Council Leader John Stewart and Alan McNiven, chairman of Paull & Williamsons, which has recently become a patron of JCIA.

Paull & Williamsons Chairman Alan McNiven said: “We were delighted to host this reception as we have recently become patrons of the organisation.  Junior Chamber International members contribute to the local community in many positive ways and tonight’s gathering offers us an opportunity to show our appreciation for the work they do”.

Junior Chamber International aims to develop the leadership skills of its members whilst promoting entrepreneurship, social activities and benefit for the local community.  It provides the opportunity to come along and try something new, such as project management or public speaking, whilst developing skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.  The organisation develops its own programme of events by reflecting four areas of interest: community, business, international and personal and professional development.
